Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino is an American director, screenwriter, and actor. His films are characterized by nonlinear storylines, satirical subject matter, violence and gore, and extended scenes of dialogue.

Early Career

In the early 1990s, he began his career as an independent filmmaker with the release of Reservoir Dogs in 1992; regarded as a classic and cult hit, it was called the "Greatest Independent Film of All Time" by Empire. Its popularity was boosted by his second film, Pulp Fiction(1994), a black comedy crime film that was a major success both among critics and audiences. Judged the greatest film from 1983–2008.

2000's

In the early 2000’s Tarantino directed a scene in Frank Miller and Rodriguez’s movie Sin City. In 2007, he teamed up with Rodriquez to produce a double featuere Grindhouse where he directed the Death Proof segment. He further went on and directed Inglourious Basterds, a Nazi war movie taking place in France during World War 2.

Recent Projects

In 2012, Tarantino released Django Unchained. A western film taking place in the Deep South. It has become his most popular movie of his career, making over 425 million dollars at the box office. Most recently came his eighth film, The Hateful Eight. A mystery Western set about six, eight or twelve years after the civil war.
